Fairy tales, mythologies, legends. Anyone could name a few as each culture stemming from various social standards and systems of belief have their own share of such fascinatingly intricate and deliberately interrelated rhetoric which, most of the time, are either mere whims and fancies or results of playful imaginations and curiosities. These narratives were given precedence especially in the times when scientific bases and logical reasoning were on their premature foundations. These were the only resorts of people, as rational beings as we are, who need some sense of explanation. May it be impractical or convenient reckoning, undeniably, they’ve been a part of our mores.

A bowerbird is an avian specie that is noted for building elaborate structures for courtship. These elaborate structures are built by male bowerbirds in an attempt to establish romantic affinity among female bowerbirds. They are native to Australia and the New Guinea. These somewhat adroit and artisanal acts of a male bowerbird can certainly inspire many artists, content creators, or just anyone who likes to put pieces together into becoming an embellished upshot of woven imaginations and ideas. And, this act of craftsmanship has set the inspiration behind Bowerbird Coffee.

My continuous search for good food and aesthetic nooks has always been in my system. Indeed, in life’s constant dramas and vile uncertainties, all we crave for are to take photos, drink coffee, travel the world, and meet new people. In case the vividness brought by life, unresolved by ends and hopes, still feels overwhelming, all we root for is to find a respite and to take a deep breath. So, I did! Spoiling yourself once in a while or taking a quick break in rewarding yourself for simply keeping to hold is never bad at all. 

With the newly opened Cagayan Town Center, the city is now a go-to-place for people who frequent in diners and coffee shops. Adding to this trend of Instagram-worthy niches is Espressini Café. The place opened its doors last July 28, being one of the firsts in the lifestyle hub, Cagayan Town Center. And, the gastronome in me was thrilled and immediately set a date to try in what it has to offer.

Whenever asked about what initially inspired me to start up this, I’d give you the same answer over and over again: “the  David Guison and Vina Guerrero meet-up.” This splendidly unforgettable experience took place last June 10, 2016. Both lifestyle bloggers, this power couple of the industry seems to be the ultimate #RelationshipGoals, from their travels abroad to their complementing OOTDs.

As the season turns over a new leaf, all but memories and glee are kept. Though coining the season as “summer” is a misnomer (Technically, in the tropics, it should be regarded as dry season), everyone is just purely thrilled to frolic and to keep the scorching heat at bay whenever the summer weather invigorates. Summer of 2017 swoons me as the experiences of the season brought a roller coaster of emotions, from my literally crazy Davao internship to the series of fulfilling adventures, all imprinted on the limbic system of my mind.

For the past two weeks, I have been out of town for an internship in line with my course’s curriculum. It was actually a trip full of uncertainties, a new city, new set of people, and new experiences to be unraveled. Spending two weeks out of my comfort zone is definitely not my type of diversion but luckily as I tried to compromise on things which I cannot and will never control, I have got to come through hastily and effortlessly.

Mornings and breakfasts are just some of the most important parts of our day not worthy of oblivion. These are just so essential that they may be vital on how we face each day with bliss. Almost all of us may have difficulties in welcoming our ventures for each new day or just entertaining our remarkably annoying alarm clocks. Then, what better way to start great mornings other than frowning from the morning blues? Nothing but a hearty, good meal.  A good meal to start the hassles and bustles is the only certain remedy to refuel our inner fervor.

Pizzas have always been the all-time favorite almost-complete meal amongst Filipinos, especially millenials. This yeasted flatbread topped with various types of fixings has long been a worldwide guilty pleasure. I, myself, am a certified pizza gaga, longing for those soft thin crust pizza with the generous share of toppings. As an almost-staple on Filipino tables, numerous pizzerias have sprung from the city, offering their own takes on this favorite.
